under the bed and dreaming

i know. i havent been much of a blogger recently. Bad Madeline. Ive been really tired and busy. Plus ive been under the bed! I love it under there now. I wormed my way into miri and tom's room one night under the guise of a thunderstorm. this was back in august. well, that was the beginning of a new era. I sleep under there now every night. i love it. im not so sure tom likes it that much. but he likes it better than trying to put me out in the living room and then having me cry and scratch at the door! And im a persistent girl - i could do that for hours. believe me. its much more fun being in there with them than being on my own. i think i won.

Also ive been loving my play group. the guys are so great, i get to play with other dogs and we get to go in a big SUV to rock creek park and dog parks too!

AND i got to play with this fun dog kallie the other day. We romped so hard and got completely covered in dirt! Miri found a guy cleaning the sidewalk with a hose in front of mcdonalds and she had him hose me off! i didnt love it but what could a girl do? I was on the leash so pretty much trapped. Plus it did get me cleaned off.

Today i had fun playing at the park with a few dogs. maybe ill get to go back soon.

unfortunately i havent had any dead (or live -- i wish!) animals to eat lately. miri and tom started keeping me on a shorter leash. they are too smart.

I'm in a play group!

hey kids - its me! Here to tell you about my latest adventures! Miri and Tom signed me up for this cool dog play group. I get to go with 8 other dogs to dog parks, trails, and even sometimes swimming! Miri found out about it at the adams morgan dog park. Today was my first day and I overheard Juan (one of the guys that works with us pups) give a report about me. We went on a trail hike! I was very pully on the leash and a pain in the car (they pick us all up in a big SUV!) but i had fun. Also I chased some squirrels! Go figure...

They said they would be taking photos of us periodically so Ill be posting them for you all to see.

I am SO tired.

I miss Juan too.

Doggie Dip Photos

Here are 2 photos of me at the Doggie Dip! A pet photographer was there at the event and he emailed them to us! The one of me diving is the best but he didn't get my head in the picture because I was so super fast! I was going for a tennis ball! I wish I could go back there now.

Doggie Dip!

I know I haven't written in a while. I have no excuse except I've been lazy. Also I hurt my paw a little bit. But I had a lot of fun doing it !! Miri and Tom took me to this thing in Maryland called Doggie Dip! It was in a swimming pool and it was all for dogs! There were like 100 dogs there. I dove in a bunch of times and chased tons of tennis balls. It was super fun! But i scraped my nail launching myself off the side of the pool. So its been bleeding periodically and of course, guess what has been in jeopardy of late? You guessed it - the rug with all the squares! Tom has been so frustrated with me but how can I help it if my paw is bleeding?! Anyway, I think its healed and let me tell you, it was worth it. The pool was so fun that I didnt want to leave. They had to drag me away after 2 hours of swimming. I cried to try and get them to let me stay but I guess they were tired. Lame.
