The baby is taking over already!

Well folks, The baby isnt even here yet and things are changing around here already. Im not sure I like it... My favorite couch in the back room is gone! There is new paint, a new cushie rug, and they keep the door closed now too. I guess i'm not allowed in there unattended?! What gives?

On the bright side, Ive been hearing a lot of talk about treats when the baby comes. I guess they want to give me positive associations with the baby, I say, whatever works to get me treats, im all over it!

Puke

This is a gross little posting just to give you an update and keep things interesting. I threw up yesterday morning. I am not exactly sure what it even was that came out. It was some odd looking oval shaped hairball-ish thing with gritty grime around it. I am half thinking it was a lot of little odds and ends Ive eaten over the last month that were forming in this weird ball in my tummy and waiting for the day to expel. And half thinking that maybe it was something undigestible wrapped in a weird coating.

I did it at 5am in the living room on the aforementioned crazy squares rug. Miri came running out when she heard me gagging and massaged my belly and throat. She is a nice gal.

It was kind of dark so I didnt get a great look at the blob and Miri scooped it up with a bunch of paper towels with a really disgusted look on her face. She mumbled something about this being good preparation for the baby. She is always trying to look on the bright side. Poor girl! She was all worried about me but I was totally fine. Humans are way more sensitive than dogs.

This and That

I know its been a while since I gave an update. Here are some unrelated notes:

1) I had a WONDERFUL time at Juan's house when Miri and Tom went to visit Henry and Pnina. Juan came and got me for a sleep over. I took a special liking to his brother and Juan also told Miri that I love latin music. I danced with his daughter - she is 7 years old. I can't wait to go back again!

2) Ive gone to the park a bunch of times to play ball and have some fun with the other dogs. Its great to be a dog in this city. There are so many friend around.

3) I am not sure how I feel about this third item but I feel compelled to talk about it. Miri created a blog for the baby. I'm kind of bummed about it because I feel like a lot of my fans might start to migrate over to that blog and not look at mine as often but hopefully I'll still command a good audience. Here's the link. Just please promise me you won't forget about me OK?

Baby McDonald in The City

Go Spirit!

Hello folks,
I had to share this story with you! I got an email from the animal rescue league today about this dog Spirit that survived not only being shot but also being run over by a car! Poor guy. The good news is that the WARL got him in their care, gave him surgery, and now someone adopted him. An Iraq war veteran that was also shot, saw the story and felt an immediate connection to Spirit and adopted him!

I love happy endings!
